Biomedical pumping solutions for a

Brighter future

Change is needed

The medical industry requires the next generation of pump technology to solve the problems inherent in supporting blood flow.

Solving these problems will lessen the economic burden, improve quality of life to those already receiving this type of therapy and greatly broaden the scope of treatable conditions.

Through the application of Astronova's unique positive displacement pump technology we are creating  novel solutions for cardiovascular circulatory support and other blood or biofluid applications.

Advanced flow technology

Astronova has developed a very unique, proprietary positive displacement pump specifically  for cardiac assist and circulatory support in the medical field.

The Astronova Blood Pump will be a very low speed (RPM), self priming, high output, rotary, positive displacement pump. This category of pump, to our knowledge, has not been used in the medical device field, to date.

Growing market

Rapidly growing

The need for biomedical pumps is forever and rapidly expanding to treat a magnitude of conditions and support blood flow.

Novel solutions to address clinical problems

Renal Perfusion

Cardiorenal Syndrome is a large and growing unmet clinical need. This pumping technology will aim to rest the heart by reducing the cardiac workload while perfusing the kidneys.

Critical Limb Ischemia

CLI is a rapidly increasing condition with a limb being amputated every 2 minutes. This requires a new look at the treatment methods, to increase patients quality of life by hyper perfusing the limb and reducing the need for amputation.

Ventricular assist

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death globally with 1 in 5 adults developing heart failure in their lifetime. There is a growing demand for ventricular assist devices to support cardiac output.
